I had never created a collection before, just individual stand alone patterns. I had wanted to try this for a while so this project gave me the opportunity to do it. I wanted to make sure I created a cohesive collection that I could use in the future.
Elizabeth Olwen:
I purchased and watched the whole Domestika course written by Elizabeth Olwen. I was very inspired by her beautiful designs and I learnt a lot from her on the vectorising side of pattern design. Below a useful PDF she shared along with her course which I found helpful.

Rachelle Holowko:
Rachelle's website had so much information that was relevant and useful to me and my career, I plan to read all of her posts in the near future, I just read the ones that were relevant to the project for now.
Cat Coquillette:

I used this Skillshare class to get the hang of the folk art style before I had decided which direction to go in. I did use this technique in the final products but I obviously used my own take on it. I already followed Cat on Instagram and admired her style, but I also wanted to make sure my designs were unique to me at the same time.
Below is a list of videos on YouTube and Skillshare that I watched to help me to create a collection of patterns in a folk style:
