Luna & Chloe's Eco Adventure

On a beautifully sunny day, a little girl was happily walking along the beach, next to the water. Suddenly, she spots something that has washed up on the beach.

When she looks closer, she sees it’s a pearl, but not one like she has seen before, it is a large rainbow pearl.

Out of nowhere, a mermaid pokes her head out of the water, which makes the girl jump.

The mermaid waves and speaks to the girl. “Hi! My name is Luna” the girl waves back to her and says “Hello! Nice to meet you! my name is Chloe”. Luna gasps when she notices the pearl; “oh thank goodness you’ve found our pearl!”

Luna carefully picks up the pearl to show Chloe, “it got washed away in a storm! We need to place it back in its home; you see it’s a magical pearl that helps lost sea creatures to find their way back home. If we don’t put it back in its cave, all of the sea creatures could get lost!” the worried mermaid explains. “Would you help me?”

Chloe is excited to help with the quest, so she wades into the shallow waters. Luna pulls out a magic shell that produces air bubbles to help the human to breathe under the water, and ties it around her neck to keep it safe.

With a bag slung across her body to hold the pearl, Chloe dives under the water following Luna to her underwater home.

The mermaid village was beautiful, filled with little homes and sea creatures swimming around.

They start to swim towards the pearls home – a magical cave.

Whilst they are swimming, they come across a patch of white sad looking coral. “Oh no this is coral is sick!” cries Luna. “It has been bleached! Sick coral can harm the whole ecosystem of plants and creatures under the sea!”

“Help me to plant these seeds to make it better” Luna urges.

So, they begin to plant magical seeds in the sand.

When they have finished, suddenly a rich jungle of seaweed grows up, and the coral slowly comes back to the beautiful bright orange they should be.

Through the middle of the jungle a pathway opens up for them to travel through. Luna looks pleased with herself, and encourages “come on, let’s go”.

Along their journey, they next come across a dolphin who is stuck in a plastic wrap and covered in oil pollution.

The worried mermaid picks up a crab and uses its pincers to cut the plastic off the dolphin. Chloe goes in search of a sea sponge to soak up the oil on the dolphin.

Chloe doesn’t think it is a good idea to leave the plastic rubbish floating in the sea, so she puts the pieces into her bag, she didn’t want any more animals to get hurt.

The dolphin is so grateful to the girls that he gives them a ride to the magical cave.

When they enter the cave Luna cries “Oh no! the stand is broken!”

“Don’t worry” says Chloe, “we can make a new one with all of this rubbish we collected, and anymore we can find”.

They start to put items together and use the slime from a sea snail to stick them together, working together they quickly finished the new stand.

Luna gently places the pearl onto its new throne and it gives off a big magical shine.

The sea creatures are all so happy that they have an underwater tea party on the ocean floor, with seaweed sandwiches and kelp tea.

By working together Luna and Chloe have become great friends, and Luna happily introduces Chloe to all the other creatures under the sea.
